Watches are one of the most collected luxury items in the world. Wristwatches come in every shape, size, color, movement, and price. An extension of who you are, the watch you wear tells a lot about you. Watches speak of class, taste, punctuality, and functionality. For watch enthusiasts, it is important to own a variety of timepieces. To wear a watch is to tell a story, each one has it’s own unique and exciting allegory. A piece of art, a watch displays artistic and technical excellence. As a collector, one should own at least seven watches for every day of the week, each timeless and classic.

Below is a selection of seven wristwatches from some of the world’s most prestigious manufacturers. The watches are from my boyfriend and I's personal collections. Each watch has it’s own story, and should be worn with knowledge, as well as love, of the piece. I styled the watches according to their functionality, adding in complimentary garments as well as settings, as one should every morning when picking out the watch for the day.

The International Watch Company’s Dopplechrono is one of the most complicated pieces in the IWC family. As a limited edition, this watch is one of 1,000 made in the world.



Chanel J12
The Chanel J12 was introduced in 2000 as a unisex timepiece. Styled with both masculine and feminine elements, the watch has since become a favorite to many.

Friday:
Rolex DaytonaOne of the most coveted watches, the Rolex Daytona has roots back to the 1960s. Rolex was sponsoring the 24-hour Daytona race in 1961, and to honor the race, named it’s first Cosmograph watch after it.
Saturday:
Audemars Piguet Alinghi Carbon FiberAudemars Piguet was the first watch manufacturer to used forged carbon on a watch case. Ever since the Alinghi model debuted, many brands have followed, using carbon fiber in casings.
Sunday:
Vintage 1940’s Rolex PrecisionThe Rolex Precision is named after the brand’s award granted in 1910. Rolex was the first watch manufacturer to receive the “Certificate of Precision” granted by the Official Watch Rating Centre in Bienne. From then on, the Rolex brand has been synonymous with precision.
