Designer collaborations have become increasingly more popular in the past two years. Jean Paul Gaultier and La Perla have just teamed up to create a long over-due lingerie line that got people thinking, "Why didn't they think of this sooner!?" Considering Gaultier had lingerie aficionados salivating over his conical bra for Madonna back in the 80′s, I can hardly imagine the frenzy his first-ever full lingerie collection will provoke .
The designer divulged in a press release, “Lingerie is part of my DNA and of my heritage." That heritage translates into bodysuits, corsets and yes, an update on the ever-infamous conical Madonna bra. Two special limited edition pieces will make their debut at Gaultier’s haute couture presentation in Paris on July 7th, with the full line available in La Perla boutiques in November. The line will retail for $600-$1200.
