My good childhood friend, Keira Guez (who has fashion in her blood coming from a family of denim moguls) and her partner Maya Yogev (creator of the leather-jacket line, Grai) are launching a unique handbag line that is bound to be a success. The line, MK Totem, will launch in Spring 2011, featuring utilitarian handbags for the everyday woman and avid traveler. The bags are inspired by a cowboy and Indian theme, giving way to lightweight fabrics of lambkin and linen. The handbags are useful and practical, yet fashion-forward. The girls are dressing up the bags with optional unique charms, made of antique brass, sea urchin quills, and bone. MK Totem is the definition of fashionably functional.
