A 1936 Bugatti Type 57SC Atlantic has been named the World's Most Expensive Car, costing over $30 million in a deal brokered by Gooding & Company. It will be displayed at Mullin Automotive Museum in Oxnard, California. The car, based on the prototype of the “Aerolithe Electron Coupe”, was first unveiled in 1935 at the Paris Auto Salon.
