Capella Pedregal is of supreme privacy, although conveniently located near the bustling center of town. In order to access the exclusive resort, one must travel through a tunnel the length of 3 football fields. Once at the end, you feel like you've reached ultimate paradise. Capella is situated against the legendary rock formations and sits above where the Sea of Cortez meets the Pacific Ocean.
Capella is a smaller hotel, boasting only 66 guest rooms, allowing for the service to be personalized and unique to each guest. Even before our arrival, we had our "personal assistant" emailing us about what we wanted to do, eat, and see while in Cabo.
The beauty of the hotel took my breath away - from the infinity pools, the classic Mexican decor, the sprawling white sand beach, to the jagged cliffside. The guest suites are large and comfortable. The suite I stayed in was a little oasis within the hotel, having it's own terrace overlooking the ocean, a plunge pool, and outdoor eating area where we enjoyed our daily room service breakfast.
Capella's beauty is something not to miss. The best time to visit Cabo San Lucas, Mexico is between November - April.
