Sushi for a Good Cause

October 27, 2014 wordpress

At Katsuya by Starck, it’s all about seeing and being seen. Katsuya artfully blends master sushi Chef Katsuya Uechi’s fresh take on classic Japanese cuisine with the vibrant vibe of Los Angeles. With locations in Hollywood, Brentwood, Glendale, Las Vegas, Downtown LA, South Beach, the innovative Japanese cuisine has won the hearts of tastemakers everywhere. In addition to managing to keep their  forever cool reputation, Katsuya is also doing a lot of good. This month, Katsuya teamed up with Minx Society to support breast cancer research and awareness.

Minx Society has dreamed up a delicious sushi roll called The Pink Power Roll, which is available at all California Katsuya locations. This roll has snow crab and ahi tuna, brushed with white truffle oil, wrapped in pink soy paper, topped with sriracha sauce, drizzeled with eel sauce. Throughout the month of October, Katsuya will be offering The Pink Power Roll –  50% of sales of the roll benefits Keep A Breast Foundation. To date, Katsuya has sold over 400 rolls.

To celebrate this amazing cause, my friends over at Minx Society hosted an intimate chef’s tasting dinner at Katsuya Hollywood. Guests included my good friends Actress Alessandra Torressani, Model/Artist Beau Dunn, Minx Society Founder Casey Winchell, Fashion Writer Jennfier Ash, Actress Leah Appell, and Actress Christina Elise.

To support a good cause, visit any of the Katsuya locations in California and order The Pink Power Roll.
