The distinguished gentleman can now look forward to owning a personalized pair of Tod’s Gommino moccasins, thanks to the new Gommino Club Project.

Inspired by driving shoes of the 1950s – think Don Draper on a road trip through the Italian countryside – the Gommino is so named because of the 133 rubber ‘pebbles’ or ‘gommini’ located on the sole of the shoe.

Stylish men who want their own version of the iconic shoe can now head to selected boutiques, where they will be presented with a special “kit” that features 15 colored leather swatches and a variety of color combinations for Tod’s signature laces. Depending on personal preferences, up to three colours can be chosen for the laces, created from 20 different color options. To add the finishing touches, the shoes can then be imprinted with your initials, based the project’s repertoire of hot-stamp styles. All the customization options result in a whopping 100,000 combinations.

The Gommimo Club will kick off exclusively at selected Tod’s boutiques by April 2015.

My only question is… when will they debut the Todd’s Gommino Club for women? I live in my Gommino Suede Loafers.
